WELCOME GENTLEMEN to St. Kieran Council 13983 to continue the legacy and growth of our Catholic Community. Great things have happened since the Charter of our Council in 2006 and will continue to grow with you, your ideas, your dedication and your efforts as proud members of Council 13983!

Dear Brothers, Officers, Families, Parishioners, and all others who find their way to this article;
From The Grand Knight;
The cool fall season is upon us. Its nearly time to put away the golf clubs, lawn mower and bring out the leaf rake and clear the flower gardens of their wilted stems. Thanksgiving and Christmas are not far away, about 40 and 70 days respectively. As the nights get longer and the days shorter, it’s a good time to take a break and reflect on lessons the season brings.
The most noticeable change, or so it would seem, is the change of the trees. The leaves change color, a strong wind blows, and the trees release the dead leaves. There is hope that in the spring the trees will bud and bring new leaves and growth to the tree. Endings don’t have to be synonymous with sadness. This season is a good time to release some of your own thoughts, emotions and burdens that are blocking new spiritual growth. Take a break from the busyness of your daily life and reflect on the gifts you have been given to you; reevaluate your relationship with the Lord. Consider participating in a retreat for a day or weekend. You may be surprised on how much you really needed to get away, to get rid of burdens and emotions and to make room for new growth with God.
The October Council meeting was my last meeting as Grand Knight of St.Kieran Council 13983. I will be switching roles with Jim Finn. He will be Grand Knight and I will be Deputy Grand Knight. I have enjoyed working with this great group of men the last fifteen months. Thank you for all your support and guidance along the way, helping to make the men of St. Kieran better Catholics, fathers, and husbands. Thank you for all you do and continue to do.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
KNIGHT’s of THE MONTH:
CONGRATULATIONS to these newest KNIGHTS of The MONTH for what they do and the example they show to all that gather around and associate with them!September:
Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen!
Dear Brothers, Officers, Families, Parishioners, and all others who find their way to this article;
From The Grand Knight;
Let’s welcome our new Knights to our Council – Chris Jacob and Edward Mason. They received their three degrees on Monday, June 26, 2023. Please say hi and make them welcome in our Council.
We had another successful Father’s Day Flower event. Thank you, John Dziwanowski and all the Brothers that helped out after all the Masses. I know there were a few who worked more than one mass. Thank you!
Council events for the months of July and August are much slower than they have been the past few months. There will be no general Council meeting in July. Our next general Council meeting will be August 8, 2023 at 7:00 pm in the Carlos Acutis Room.
We have some exciting events coming up in the next few months. The parish picnic and car show will be held on the church grounds after the 11:30 Mass on September 10th. I encourage everyone to attend with their families and friends. This Fall we are also planning on having a bourbon tasting and cigar event. The date for this has not been set. Our one charity poker event for the year will be this Fall as well. I have been approached by another Council to see if there is any interest in joining them in a wild game dinner. I will pass along information as it becomes available and to see if we have any members interested in participating in this event. It could be a decent fundraising event.
As we enjoy these summer days and relaxing evenings, let’s not forget to attend Mass on Sunday, even when out of town. God’s love for us does not take a vacation.
Thank you for all you do, and that you continue to do!
Vivat Jesus!

PRAYER to St. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL:
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares
of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the
power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen!
